Imagine 2

Okay imagine u owned a house in one of those islands that are sinking next to Hawaii

The house has wooden floors

That extend from ur bedroom

Into the ocean

If u wanted to you could just walk under water

And sit underwater

It is so quiet and nice underwater

It really is leaving the world behind

And to think that most of the world is underwater

In your backyard you can draw 7 million drawings

Even more

U just let the waves take care of them

And one afternoon u just lie on ur stomach on the sand

Ur face really close to the ground

And u see the tiniest creatures that live there

Tiny crabs

Dig holes over n over again

And that’s their life it seems

To keep on digging holes the waves wash away

And since ur island is sinking

Ur house will wash away too

But not yet

So that afternoon the tide

Will creep up on you

Ur feet r wet

So u turn around and stare at the sun

Ur head is over some crab holes

U see clouds

Fluffy ones

And birds

Some vultures circle you

Wondering if ur dead

And u don’t even try to give them a clue

U could be the sand at that point

If u stay long enough the tide will reach ur head

And the ocean can carry u

Into its heart

The waves could rock u to sleep

Being lost in the ocean is the closest thing to being lost in space

Freedom and infinity

Merely an existence without noise

Are you even there?
